This article's title is actually a quote from me. You guys are more patient than I am so thanks for that.

Sorry about the delay in Dark Days episode production, everyone. I had a crazy negative project announcement recently and I've spent the past few weeks picking up the pieces of that and working on rebooting it. The good news about that is, that project is not only looking salvageable, but way better than it would have before. That's a huge plus!

Anyways, back to Dark Days. This hiatus is taking longer than it should because of a location I still have yet to find for Night 6. So, I've done a minor re-write to accommodate for the location (it's not plot-related, so honestly the location isn't that big), and I'm gonna film most of it this week. I'm also going to be meeting up with Christine (she plays Val and is amazing) to shoot a few episodes in a row, as soon as we're both able.

So yeah, please do your best to continue to be patient with me. I don't want any hiatus to last more than two months (and hell, if I can help it, I'd rather not have them last more than one), so you can expect Night 6 to hit very soon. That's more of a promise to myself than anything,honestly, but I'm confident I'll get it done. And if you guys are liking the series so far, you have some crazy shit to look forward to.

If you guys want to ask me anything Slenderman series-related (or anything-related, to be honest), I'm doing a Q&A video as soon as I get enough questions for it; you can leave me questions on my ask.fm account, or you can just leave them in the comments of this video here. Try not to ask anything about when projects will update or what the state is with potential projects - just because I already cover all that stuff in a series of update videos I do on my vlog channel. So basically, if you want to know the progress of any of my projects, just look at that playlist.

Eventual Behind-the-Scenes Stuff

...and I'm not talkin' 'bout Stan Frederick. Well, I am partially... I'll explain in a sec.

I hope you guys enjoyed Night 5 of Dark Days! That was a pretty big shooting and editing job for me, but thanks to my wonderfully talented cast I knocked out all the talking parts and recordings on their first attempts. As for the more deep aspects of production, I eventually want to do a miniature featurette describing the illusion process of locations in both this series and StanFrederickBTS. It's really interesting and there would likely be a lot to talk about there.

Back to the episode though, it's only been a day and I already see some awesome feedback on the series' unFiction thread. It's always nice to see people theorizing and sharing ideas and stuff -- it's the biggest reason I love doing these types of series. Also your questions make me smile because in my head I'm like "oh man they have no idea if they're right or not and I love that." Thanks as usual for being the driving force behind my motivation, y'all.

I've done as much as I can to make sure every episode means something to the viewer -- that each portion of the series either gives you more plot or more character stuff. Hopefully I'm delivering with that thus far. We've still got over 20 videos to go until the season is over, so strap in for that. Dark Days isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Night 6 might be another long wait. Finals are approaching, and if that wasn't stressful enough, the place I want to visit for the next episode is going to be incredibly tough for me travel-wise. No spoilers, of course; just warning you ahead of time that you might not see the next episode for a bit.

Thanks for being patient. I can't wait to see where this ride takes us.

Welcome Back

Hey everyone, this is Evan, the creator of the Slenderman series StanFrederickBTS and a couple of other YouTube things. For those of you that know about SFBTS, you might have also known that I ran a blog similar to this one a while ago, meant specifically to update on the out-of-game progress of that series. Well, that series is over -- but my new Slenderverse series Dark Days has just started. So this is basically my way of updating people on the progress of that series, as episodes won't necessarily be out periodically based on the production levels.

Right now the latest video posted to the Dark Days YouTube channel was Night 4, and production on Night 5 is ongoing. Due to the fact that finals are coming up in my current semester of college, I have to really focus on doing well and less on staring at a computer screen or walking through a hallway with a camera -- even though that's what I would prefer to be doing, believe me. 

That's not to say I don't have plans to film soon, but everything has to be planned meticulously; on top of schoolwork I have a movie project I've been sitting on for years, Moorters. So I'm trying to balance these two projects as often as possible. My best advice would be to please be patient with me. There aren't enough hours in a day, unfortunately, so I really need to manage my time here. Until then, every now and again, I'll be posting updates and behind-the-scenes things for the series, and absolutely no spoilers. If you want to maintain immersion though, I guess you might as well not read any of this.
